Individualized Focus Area (BA)

This competence-based program allows you to create a curriculum suited to your professional goals and personal interests.

Earn credit for what you have learned from prior course work, training, certifications and workplace learning. You can enroll without prior college credit.

Complete this degree in as little as 15 months with 60 semester hours of transferrable credit and at least five courses that can form a focus area concentration.

You may also choose to earn a minor in a business-related area.

Business Combined Bachelors Masters Program

Complete 12 graduate credit hours at DePaul's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at the undergraduate tuition rate and apply them to both your undergraduate degree requirements and to a Master of Science from Kellstadt. Learn more.


Get your own advising committee of an SNL faculty member and an expert in your focus interest who help develop a plan to meet your goals and assess prior learning.


The degree is earned after satisfying 50 requirements, written as statements describing competence. Certain competencies are met by specific courses or projects; others can be satisfied by relevant transfer courses or experience.

Online and On-Campus

The degree can be completed online, on-campus or through a combination of both. SNL campus-based courses meet either evenings or weekends at DePaul's Loop, Naperville and O'Hare campuses.
 This program is not available to residents of Oregon.
