Paul Heltne

Paul Heltne is President Emeritus of the Chicago Academy of Sciences.  He holds a PhD from the University of Chicago with special focus on primate biology and evolutionary biology.  He led the construction of the Academy's Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and co-founded the Center for Humans and Nature. He currently is an independent scholar with continuing focus on our relationship with nature.  He has done field research in Africa, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.
