Current SNL faculty can contact the Associate Dean, Undergraduate Programs or Graduate Programs Director to propose a new course. The course idea and appropriate competencies will be discussed to determine suitability for the curriculum and program needs. Faculty may then be invited to complete and submit the Course Proposal Form. Other faculty with content expertise may be asked for feedback on the proposal before a decision is made. A syllabus may also be requested.
Once approved, faculty are guided on further steps to prepare the course, including submitting potential course materials, textbooks, a final course description and syllabus.
Once an approved new course is offered three times, it will be reviewed to ensure the integrity of how it addresses competencies and to offer recommendations for further development. See Prepare for Review.
